When Miranda Blake, Safe Haven Director, and her buddy Kieran Yeats, former animal crimes investigator, are confronted with a litter of very ill kittens, abandoned at the Sidney Marina, they are outraged, and determined to find the abandoners. Their search, however, is interrupted by a huge lightning-caused wildfire -- a fire that is soon lapping at the walls of the shelter itself. The search for the kitten abandoners is temporarily put on hold as shelter personnel race to save the building and the cats.
